Set in a historic Florida Manor House built in 1869, The Wayward Traveler's Inn is more than a place to stay, it's about new and old friends, taking time to enjoy the finer things and above all connecting with our unique corner of the world.
In 2013 our family set off on a great adventure, ridding ourselves of most our belongings and travelling the United States for a year in a motor home. We drank wine, ate great food and took the time to find the genuine beautiful core of who we are. We found a health nut, a poet, a musician and a writer, each hidden among our ranks all along.
Now we are dedicated to helping others on their own journeys. The Inn is simply a means to that end. But enough about us, what really intrigues us is you and your story or journey or thoughts on the world. Come and share with us and we'll take care of the rest.
Wayward Traveler - One who has traveled 100,000 miles or more in one calander year.
One who lives on the road, outside of the normal rules of society, almost anarchistic in nature, often misunderstood, searching for the ultimate beauty in life.
A Wayward Traveler understands culture, politics, social causes on a personal level from experiencing those issues first hand. i.e. An opinion on immigration is based on actually watching people sneak over the U.S. border as opposed to reading about it.
These experiences often lead to people who fall into this catagory to develop a very strong sense of social responsibility, often putting themsleves after others.
Wayward Travelers are known for their survival instincts, craftiness, and their humble nature.
Also, totally killer tan.
